- October 2024: I will give an invited talk at the LoRAINNe’24 workshop on Low-Rank Approximations and their Interactions with Neural Networks, which will take place at the IDMC (Institut des Sciences du Digital) in Nancy, France. Workshop details here.
- October 2024: We host the 2024 Workshop on Communication, Sensing, and Allocation in Future Wireless Systems, partially supported by CAPES, DAAD, CNPq, and IEEE SPS.
- October 2024: My name appears again in the Stanford/Elsevier's top 2% scientist rankings.
- October 2024: My previous student, Gilderlan Araújo, was a finalist in the 2024 Best PhD Thesis Award (promoted by the Brazilian Society of Telecommunications) and received an honorable mention.
- August 2024: The Northeast Brazil IEEE SPS Chapter is launched! Interesting activities to come soon!
- July 2024: Our team had four papers accepted for the ASILOMAR-SSC 2024 conference!
- June 2024: I was appointed Chief Editor for the IEEE SPS SigPort. My term starts in January 2025.
- December 2023: The 𝘐𝘕𝘊𝘛-𝘚𝘪𝘨𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘴 project entitled “Signal Processing, Communications, Sensing, and Surveillance” is launched! The project is funded by the Brazilian Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) as part of the National Institutes of Science and Technology (INCT) initiative. - December 2023: The international cooperation project “Signal Processing for Integrated Communications and Sensing with Applications to Next Generation Wireless Communication Networks” was accepted! The project is funded by the CNPq (Brazilian Council of Scientific and Technological Development) and has partner universities in Chile, Ecuador, and the USA.
- November 2023: I was invited to give a seminar at Ericsson Research Headquarters, Sweden, on “Tensor decompositions and applications to wireless communications.”

- December 2022: Our bilateral French-Brazilian proposal, “Data Science and Artificial Intelligence for Biomedical Applications,” was accepted! CAPES/Brazil and COFECUB/France jointly fund the research project, which starts in January 2023.
- October 2022: I was invited to give a seminar at the 7th Zhejiang University Graduate International Workshop on Intelligent Signal Processing in Hangzhou, China, on the topic “Tensor-based approach for IRS phase-shift feedback control.”
- January 2022: I started my term as IEEE SPS Director-at-Large for Regions 7 & 9.
- October 1019: We are organizing the 11th IEEE Sensor Array and Multichannel workshop (SAM 2020), which will be held in Hangzhou, China, from June 6 to 12, 2020. More info and call for papers here.
- April 2019: I am a plenary speaker at the Workshop on Smart Antennas (WSA 2019) in Vienna. I will discuss “Tensor perspectives on large-scale MIMO array processing.”
